In 1998, at the age of 15, she entered the french violin-making school in Mirecourt where she spent 5 years learning the basis of violin-making and violin restoration.
She obtained a B.T. (Brevet de Technicien) after 3 years of study, and a D.M.A. (Diplôme des Métiers d'Arts) upon completing the fifth and final year.
In 2003, she moved to Canada where she spent 3 months in Olivier Perot's workshop, Montréal learning set-up, and then moved on to “The Sound Post” in Toronto where she spent almost two years focusing on restoration and repair.
In 2006, after 6 months working as a repairer for U-Wenk-Wolff in Olso, Norway, Noémie moved to her present location in Aarhus, Denmark, to work for Jens Stenz, repairing and making instruments .
